I’m Janna Chin, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and graduate of John F. Kennedy University. I provide compassionate, integrative psychotherapy for adults seeking healing, emotional wellness, and meaningful personal growth.
I have more than 10 years of experience working with individuals, couples, and families across a variety of mental health settings, including schools, nonprofit organizations, outpatient programs, and inpatient treatment facilities.

Sometimes we simply need a safe space to be heard without judgment. Many people spend years quietly carrying emotional pain, anxiety, burnout, codependent relationship patterns, grief, or unresolved trauma while continuing to hold everything together on the outside.
Therapy can provide an opportunity to better understand yourself, heal from past experiences, develop healthier patterns, and reconnect with the life, relationships, and version of yourself you truly want.

I enjoy working with adults who are committed to personal growth and willing to do the deeper emotional work that supports lasting change.
Many of my clients are professionals, healthcare workers, entrepreneurs, caregivers, and high-achieving adults who appear capable and successful on the outside while privately struggling with anxiety, burnout, emotional overwhelm, perfectionism, relationship challenges, or unresolved trauma.
Life can become overwhelming when balancing work, relationships, responsibilities, and the constant pressure to “hold it all together.” Over time, chronic stress and emotional exhaustion can impact your mental health, relationships, nervous system, self-esteem, and overall quality of life.

My approach integrates evidence-based therapies, including EMDR, CBT, and IFS, along with somatic therapy, mindfulness-based therapies, and integrative psychotherapy approaches to support deeper emotional healing, nervous system regulation, and long-term emotional wellness.
My Approach to Therapy
I work from a strengths-based perspective and help clients identify patterns, beliefs, emotional wounds, and coping strategies that may be preventing them from fully experiencing the relationships, peace, confidence, and fulfillment they desire.
One of the greatest and most heartwarming privileges of my work is supporting clients as they move from emotional exhaustion, overwhelm, and survival mode into greater clarity, confidence, emotional connection, and a deeper sense of peace within themselves and their relationships.
What to Expect in Your First Therapy Session
Your first therapy session is an opportunity for us to begin exploring your experiences more deeply and identify the goals, patterns, and challenges you would like to address in therapy.
Together, we will discuss what has been contributing to your emotional distress, overwhelm, relationship challenges, anxiety, or feelings of being stuck. We will explore your personal history, current stressors, coping patterns, strengths, and goals for healing and growth.
I will also help you better understand how therapy, EMDR, and integrative treatment approaches may support your specific needs and begin developing a personalized treatment plan tailored to your goals.
Most importantly, our first session is intended to provide a compassionate, supportive, and emotionally safe space where you feel heard, understood, and supported without judgment.
